Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at INFOPROG 2019 competition in Fülek

The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at SZIU for the second time participated in preparing the IT competition - announced for Hungarian secondary schools in the Carpathian-basin- and in evaluating the exercises qualified for the finals between 11-12 April 2019. This year there were 66 students from 15 schools from 4 countries competing in the finals. Together with the preparing teachers and with the members of the jury 95 people took part at the event. The young contestants had to cope with exercises in connection with spreadsheets, word processing, programming, presenting and database.

The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences puts special emphasis on the talent management of youngsters across borders, therefore they actively participated in the whole process and awarded special prize to the most talented student. The competition was implemented in the framework of the project of the EU closing in April 2019, the Smart Communities (SKHU/1601/4.1/210) INTERREG project.  The faculty was represented in the jury and in the evaluation of the exercises by Lilla Áldorfai-Czabadai , Dr. Henrietta Nagy , Dr. Adrienn Varga-Nagy and György Áldorfai.
