FAO in Budapest - 10 years of working together for agricultural development

On 11th December 2017, the faculty members of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the Szent István University and the scholars studying rural development visited the Ministry of Agriculture to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the joint work of FAO and the Ministry in Hungary. Thanks to the scholarship program, over 270 young people could take part and graduate from agricultural and rural development master courses offered by Hungarian universities.

The guests were greeted by Mr. Sándor Fazekas, minister of agriculture of Hungary as well as Mr. Vladimir Rakhmanin, regional representative of FAO. On behalf of the scholars, Mr. Ahmed Abdalla had a speech, who is a master student of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. After the official part, the guests had a dinner together on the Danube.
