Intercultural Roadshow continued in Damjanich Primary school in Gödöllő
Within the framework of the ‘Intercultural Meetings Roadshow’, we visited Damjanich János Primary School in Gödöllő where our university students from Egypt, Albania, Syria, Bhutan, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Cambodia gave presentations about their countries and traditions. Our aim was to emphasize the importance of English language and also to focus on the issue of cultural sensitivity. Cultural sensitivity refers to being aware that cultural differences and similarities between people exist without assigning them a value. When we practice cultural sensitivity, we need to be willing to adapt our communication and behaviours to other cultural norms. The result is empathy instead of judgment.
