The annual scientific conference for bachelor, master and Phd students was held on 20^th November 2018. The conference was held at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of SZIU, Gödöllő under the auspices of the Visegrád University Association. This conference takes a special role in promoting the professional career of students. The title of the conference was "Smart developments and sustainability".

On 8th November 2018 we organised an international student workshop/conference with the title „Whom we are proud of” in the framework of celebrating Hungarian Science – 2018 program series. The aim of the workshop was to provide opportunity for international students studying at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences to give a presentation about people they are really proud of from their countries.

The ceremony took place on Friday 5th October in the Aula of Gödöllő Campus.

Global Village & Day of Languages – The program was held on 28th September under the organisation of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at SZIU. More than 40 foreign students could introduce their countries to our visitors. They were wearing their traditional clothes, they prepared delicious food and they showed their traditional dances and languages as well. There were several precious objects exhibited during the program. We had more than 110 visitors from 14.00 to 18.30.

The Enyedi György Doctoral School of Regional Sciences has recently organized the 3^rd International Scientific Conference for Young Researchers at Szent István University.

The trading consul from Mali, Dr. Mamadou Sidibé visited the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. He met the management of the Faculty and also students from Mali who are currently studying at the Faculty. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the relationship between Mali and Hungary, especially focusing on the educational relations with the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at SZIU. The trading consul received his diploma also in Hungary years ago; therefore he considers it important to renew the relations in the field of higher education and adult education.

Certificate of merit was given to the Japanese students -participating at our partial training at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences- by Dr. József Káposzta, dean of the faculty. With the certificate the students’ work was acknowledged for helping this 7-year long tradition live further. With the help of power point presentations the students shared their experiences they gained in Hungary and at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. At the end of the closing ceremony they served special home-made Japanese food to the teachers.
