Interactive English class at Corvin Mátyás Grammar School in Budapest

The latest station of our Intercultural Meetings Roadshow took place in Corvin Mátyás Grammar School in Budapest. It was the second time to visit the school and to give our international university students the opportunity to introduce their countries, their traditions and to share ideas about the importance of opening towards other cultures. Our university students gave very colourful presentations and after the presentations the grammar school students could ask questions about anything they were interested in.

The challenges of sustainable food supply – Inaugural speech of Dr. József Popp at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

The inaugural speech of Dr József Popp, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at Szent István University and corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences was delivered on 9th October 2019. In his inaugural speech the Dean talked about the challenges of sustainable food supply in the light of energy-and environment safety. Congratulations to Dr. József Popp!

Intercultural Roadshow continued in Damjanich Primary school in Gödöllő

Within the framework of the ‘Intercultural Meetings Roadshow’, we visited Damjanich János Primary School in Gödöllő where our university students from Egypt, Albania, Syria, Bhutan, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Cambodia gave presentations about their countries and traditions. Our aim was to emphasize the importance of English language and also to focus on the issue of cultural sensitivity. Cultural sensitivity refers to being aware that cultural differences and similarities between people exist without assigning them a value.

We are happy to invite you to participate and/or give a presentation at the international student workshop. The title of the event is „ Latest researches and innovations in my country (how science contributes to the well-being of my country). The programme   will be held on 6th November, 2019 from 10.00 to 13.00 at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences within the framework of the „Month of Hungarian Science” programme series.

Researchers’ Night at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences

CultureShock – The program was held on 27th September under the organisation of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences within the framework of Researchers’ Night.

More than 40 foreign students could introduce their countries to our visitors. The 50 students were from 24 countries. We had more than 100 visitors who could take a look at the scientific world from a more lively and enjoyable point of view in Gödöllő campus.
