The project of Intercultural Meetings continued

On 21 May 2019 enthusiastic foreign students from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences visited Hajós Alfréd Primary School in Gödöllő. Our students delivered fantastic presentations to school kids about their countries and traditions. We had colourful presentations about India, Pakistan and Russia. Primary school students were open to learn about other cultures and traditions. This project will continue from the next semester. Thank you for the all the participants.

On 7 May 2019 we visited Petőfi Sándor Primary School in Gödöllő with 8 international students. The students were from Sudan, India, Ghana, Pakistan, Ecuador and from Kyrgyzstan.

Celebrating the Earth’s Day in a kindergarten

On 23 April 2019 students from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of SZIU visited Kikelet Óvoda /Egyetem téri Óvoda/ kindergarten on the occasion of the Earth’s Day. A lovely group of playful kids were looking forward to meeting our foreign students. Colourful and very creative mini-presentations were given about the countries of our students, about their animals, their environment and about other national traditions. Students from Kenya, Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Bhutan and Morocco were playing, singing and dancing together with all the smart and curious kids.

Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at INFOPROG 2019 competition in Fülek

The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at SZIU for the second time participated in preparing the IT competition - announced for Hungarian secondary schools in the Carpathian-basin- and in evaluating the exercises qualified for the finals between 11-12 April 2019. This year there were 66 students from 15 schools from 4 countries competing in the finals. Together with the preparing teachers and with the members of the jury 95 people took part at the event.

MBA students visit the Lázár Equestrian Park in Domonyvölgy

On 15 April 2019, the foreign students of the recently started Executive MBA for Diplomacy and International Organizations paid a field visit to the Lázár Equestrian Park, owned by the world champion Lázár brothers. The aim of the visit was to learn more about the Hungarian traditions related to horses as well as about the tourism sector in Hungary. The field visit is in harmony with the curriculum of the course, since the subject for Hungarian culture, history, traditions and economic sectors (including tourism) is included in both semesters as compulsory subject.
