International workshop

On 6 November an International workshop was organized with the title of "Latest researches and innovations in my country- how science contributes to the wellbeing of my country- as part of the „Month of Hungarian Science” program series.

The celebration of Hungarian Science has been in focus since 1997, but officially this event is celebrated since 2003. It is celebrated on 3rd November each year because on that day, on 3rd November 1825 Széchenyi -"the Greatest Hungarian"- donated his full annual income of his estates, exactly 60,000 forints. His example brought donations from three other wealthy nobles and they gained Royal approval for the Academy.

The Hungarian Academy of Sciences is the most important and prestigious society of Hungary. Its seat is at the bank of the Danube in Budapest. Its main responsibilities are the cultivation of science, dissemination of scientific findings, supporting research and development and representing Hungarian science domestically and around the world.

We could listen to 8 interesting presentations from 7 different countries: Colombia, Ethiopia, Laos, Morocco, Mongolia, Palestine and Syria.
